Mac File Recovery
The great advantage of a smart phone, of course, is that you have all the information you need right there in one spot. Addresses, numbers, work documents, pictures of a decade’s worth of birthday parties–you name and it’s buried in a heap of data somewhere on your phone. So when your phone gets damaged or when you accidentally wipe your phone clean while performing a jailbreak, you want to have a back up plan in place to recover that precious data.
How to recover data for Mac products
iphones, like other Mac products, have a few different options for recovering files. One of the simplest ways to go about this is to get retrieval software like uFlysoft, or in the case of an iPhone.
This software will allow you to connect your phone directly to your computer and recover information from a damaged device.
Similarly, you can connect your phone to your mac and recover data from iTunes. iTunes backs up all of the files on your mobile device every time you connect it. Software like Fonepaw will allow you to retrieve that information instantly.
Another wise option is to back up all of your files to a third party system. The easiest option is iCloud; however, there are other services available for data storage. Once you have a back up system in place you can use your retrieval software to recover any lost data for your Mac or iPhone.
There are a lot of options for recovering lost files from your Mac products. Picking one can be overwhelming. The good thing is that most of the software is fairly similar, so it really comes down to preference.
Here is a list of data recovery software in no particular order:
This software works on both Mac OS and Windows. It’s capable of recovering 19 different file types and can export 8 types of files to other iOS devices.
I mentioned this one earlier in the article. FonePaw works in much the same fashion as FoneLab. It can recover all major files, requires no plug-ins and can retrieve app data. This software is pretty user friendly and compatible with a wide variety of devices.
Wondershare Dr. Fone
This software works similarly to FoneLab. You can recover a variety of file types as well as apps. Dr. Fone covers data that’s lost from damage as well as data lost by jailbreaking. Sometimes the preview function with Dr. Fone can become unavailable, not allowing you to see all types of files before recovering them.
iSkysoft can be installed on your computer and allows you to scan your SIM card for lost files. This software can recover 12 types of files, which is less than FoneLab, but nevertheless covers all of the major files. The only major downside to this program is that takes longer than some of the others to completely scan devices.
These are just a few of the many great options out there. The most important thing to remember is that no matter what software you get, you should have some system for backing up and recovering your mac files!
